Voices for Children of San Antonio
Annual
Congress on Children
Voices for Children (then called Vision for Children)
convened their first “Congress on Children” on July 1st,
1997 at the International Center of the University of
the Incarnate Word. Nearly 150 community stakeholders
gathered to develop a children’s agenda for San Antonio
and begin building coalitions to address a prioritized
list of those needs.
Many of those coalitions have developed into efforts
of their own—Health Care for Every Child is a prime
example. Others have transformed into special interest
Task Forces that continue to meet to identify and
address issues.
If you would like to be added to the email
distribution list for current groups, choose your area(s)
of interest and submit your contact information.
