San Antonio a City for Kids!
Join us for the
10th Annual
Congress on Children - September 26th
 Help us celebrate a decade of
local, organized advocacy for children as we focus on
our collective power to make San Antonio a City For
Kids.
We’ll honor the lifetime of
achievement and advocacy for children of San Antonio’s
own Ralph Bender – a man who always attracted
like-minded allies to make real change in countless
young lives.
We’ll learn from experts about the
tools of advocacy—framing our message, understanding our
audience, and combining our voice for community change.
Former
Lt. Governor Bill Ratliff and chair of
Raise Your Hand Texas
will update us on the efforts of that
bipartisan group of Texas business and community
leaders
to ensure that all children have access to
high quality pre-kindergarten and kindergarten programs,
smaller class sizes across all grade levels, multiple
paths to a high school diploma, and the vital resources
needed to keep our public schools strong.
And we’ll hear advocacy updates in
our three areas of major interest: child abuse &
neglect, early care & education, and health care.
