As Executive Director, Mr. Messina forges relationships with funders, policy makers and community leaders in order to further children's advocacy issues in San Antonio. He coordinates and communicates with other local advocacy agencies in order to best service the needs of the community.
He has been associated with this initiative since its inception in 1997, was on the founding board when incorporated in 2001, and has served as executive director since 2003.

Mayoral Children's Forum 2009

Voices for Children
partnered with the Southwest Mental Health Center and the San Antonio Nonprofit Council to sponsor "The Mayoral Children's Forum 2009" with moderator Ursula Pari. Questions were created and selected by various non-profit organizations that work directly with the kids of our community.  Topics included physical and mental health, early care and education, abuse and neglect, and city fundng for children.
